Peeple App Reviews

A Cynical App That Profits Off Of Misery

Terrible interface with a profit structure built off of the negative reviews a person gets. If you feel like wasting your time and subjecting yourself to the worst experience the Internet has yet to offer then by all means...waste the space on your phone.

Bad execution

Poorly done app. Not worth wasting space on your iPhone. Interesting idea, but not worth doing for the sake of opening Pandoras Box.

Terrible

Not a good idea and a really bad app

Garbage

Really? This is what people do now?

The worst idea since nuclear weapons

Title says it all. Literally the worst app/ service idea. Will ruin innocent lives and destroy society as we know it, the whole shebang. Cant say Ive ever been so opposed to an app idea before.

Unsafe

Was able to create 2 fake profiles in less than 15 minutes....imagine all the damage that can be done...

Terrible

People keep saying that you should give this app a chance because its "such a great idea," but being someone who was bullied online once before, I believe that this app is only a way to bring cyber bullying to a whole new level. This app makes me sick and I want no part of it. I cant wait for this app to be taken off of the App Store.

Horrible idea for an app

With this app, all it takes is one group of people to ruin your reputation. One group of people that have something to gain with tarnishing your reputation. All they need is the premium package. Just an all around horrible idea, and Im shocked this app got past the drawing board stages.

Loathsome concept

Terrible in every way

I am not a number

The idea that a number represents the complex and ranged interactions and relationships between human beings is fundamentally flawed. Thats before you take into consideration that that number can be gamed by the liars, harassers and abusers that step into your life. This idea is clearly the product of privilege and short-sightedness, and I sincerely hope that nobody with a functioning perception of reality put any stock in its utility.

Dont waste your time

This is a stupid idea and a stupid app. Dont waste your time.

Cant open

Well just downloaded the app and theres no button to accept the terms and agreements.

Publicity stunt

This is probably not a good idea

This app idea is absurd, rude, and an abomination.

Whether this app was made for the eligibility in Canada only or not, it doesnt matter. This app is entirely ridiculous to even conceive, the app most be an absolute garbage pile for sad morons who think people should be "rated" by a machine if rated at all. Its a stupid and useless idea that must be gone from anywhere as soon as possible.

There is so much wrong here

At first they tried to scrape Facebook data to add you without your permission - they got called out on that, so instead they have built into their "Terms and Conditions" (hereafter "T&C") that you hand over all of your contacts and information when you sign up. Without your contacts permission. This is a nightmare app. It will allow stalkers to locate the people theyre trying to find, abusers to find the ones hiding from them or stalk and harass them, promote bullying and harassment of anyone, anywhere on the sexual spectrum, of any race, creed, colour, or political affiliation for those reasons alone, and the list goes on and on. Everything the app makers tried to do to get peoples information to the way theyre going to sell those reviews you (a) did not approve, or (b) never even saw because you didnt sign up, with their "truth license" (coming soon!) points to the app makers being MORALLY BANKRUPT. This should have never been allowed on the app store. It should have never been made. The two behind this fiasco did not learn their lesson during the HUGE backlash when they tried to go public earlier, so it will obviously take a lot more to get it through their heads: people are not things to be rated, the potential for abuse and harassment is HUGE, and they have made a very dangerous app. There have been numerous articles, ripoff reports and petitions written against this app (cant post links, but do go search them out; they are very illuminating) outlining everything wrong with this idea and the way they are handling peoples information, and they continue to ignore. They KNOW its wrong - proven by the ways they are trying to go around the original - very valid - concerns of the public. They are doing the exact same thing as before, just more sneakily. Julia Cordray said, "We heard your concerns." Bull. The only thing she heard was the sound of her own ego - thousands of people tried to tell her this was wrong and explained why, but all shes done is try to hide the most reprehensible parts that they objected to - and she kept right on going. This app WILL hurt people. And she will be responsible for it, all the while proclaiming, "its about positivity!" with fingers in both of her ears hollering "LALALALA!" like a child, against her detractors. Speaking of positivity, one wonders why they would have a "truth license" if the positivity angle was really all it was about. There is a special place in Hell for those who make bank off others misery. The review with the, "oh I just happened to wonder if there was an app like this today" - really? - the next paragraph stating, "I know there has been some controversy..." tells everyone its a shill. Such a transparent lie, and proves they are having their friends/family/employees try to put up positive reviews for them because they certainly wont get them from anyone else! Their T&C state that all of your content becomes their property to do with what they will. Theyve more than proven they cant be trusted already, and now your information will be handed over on a silver platter if any of your Facebook contacts signs up on this app. Even if they delete the app right after, that information is now in Peeples hands. The requirements that you be in Canada and that it is governed by Canada law make no sense (and seems like a smoke screen) - not only did users contacts not sign the T&C but I guarantee that their information will be used whether or not they live in Canada. From the T&C: "Once Content is published it may not be able to be removed," and by joining, "you hereby irrevocably grant to Peeple the continuous, non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use your Content for any purpose whatsoever and in any format. These rights shall be assignable, transferable, and licensable by Peeple." There is so much wrong here I would need another 3 pages to list them all. And the "truth license"? Purchasers will be able to see reviews about someone that were never approved, perhaps never even *seen.* And there is nothing the reviewee can do about it. THIS APP IS DANGEROUS and SO ARE THE APP CREATORS. TL;DR 1. You give up your information and privacy, and those of your friends, family, and other Facebook contacts, when you sign up for this app. I dont think they will thank you for doing that to them. 2. You cannot hide or delete incorrect, hurtful, or hateful reviews of you, nor hide/delete reviews that give your location, work place, names of other family members, etc., whether specifically or implied by the reviews words/own location. The app creators wont delete it either, according to their T&C. 3. Those reviews will be able to be seen by anyone who has purchased a "truth license," whether they are true or not and no matter their content 4. Canadian law governs use of the app, therefore your own countrys laws cannot protect you even if you never gave your permission for your info to be given to Peeple. 5. The app makers have already proven they are untrustworthy; there is no telling what they will do with your information once they have it 6. Teenagers, children, domestic violence & stalker victims, minorities, and other groups of people already being bullied will now have a huge other avenue for abuse Users have already been able to create fake accounts and sign up. There is also no restriction on age of Facebook account like they say there is (supposed to be at least 6 months) which means: Anyone can sign up for a fake Facebook account, immediately sign up for the app, and review someone they dont like or want to hurt or bully. That review will then be available for anyone who purchases their so-called "truth license" to see, whether that person has ever signed in to this app or not. Just imagine the possibilities. If you thought being doxed was bad, just wait till youve been Peepled. Protect yourself, and warn your friends and family. And count me in when the class action lawsuit arrives.

User ID???

I dont want to have to log into my FB account to use this app. I wanted to check it out, but I think I will just delete it. I see this being a way to bully someone and/or cause someone to snap or commit suicide. Not worth it! Take this app down! You should never be able rate a person! Those reviews would be subjective. Everyone has different likes and dislikes, I might fine a person to be sweet, likable but my husband might think that same person is I likable. So all reviews on this Peeples app would be pointless in the end and it could ruin someones life both personal and professional!

Bad idea and poor design

One first launch every piece of text is stacked on to of each oath making it extremely difficult to read. Second this becomes even more difficult once your I the app and typing info in. The keyboard covers the entry block and the interface doesnt adjust so you can see what your typing. This makes the signup process difficult and not the best first impression. Based on this I cant give a positive review. There are enough negative reviews based on its concept.

A waste of spaceeeee

So so lame

Horrible app

What a waste of human intelligence.

What an app

Alright to start off this review Ive been following this app for a while. A while being last year around fall. Anyways I almost never leave reviews for apps but just for this one I will make an exception. I think this idea is great and original! There are so many negative reviews of this app that keep trying to make the point that it may be a way for people to cyber bully people , but here is the thing about that argument that doesnt work all the people saying that havent mentioned the system that requires people to have signed up to be rated or reviewed. Also another thing about that whole argument is it could be applied to literally any social media site. Take Facebook for example people could be bulled on there. So all these negative reviews should be posted on every social media app not just this one.
